Dear family,
Well it was an awesome week this week and a great way to finish out
the transfer. So this saturday Dayana got baptized. And she is
probably the strongest convert that i have had an opportunity to
teach. At her baptism we had two ladies bare there testimonies, the
first was a returned missionery that is married in the temple and she
gave an awesome testimony. And before going in to the baptism i
thought to myself about how i hadn´t seen anybody in the DR really
just start crying while giving their testimony, but then this lady
started to cry. After the baptism the bishop asked Dayana if she would
share her testimony and she gave such a solid testimony and started
crying during it and i looked around and everybody was getting a
little watery eyed. She talked about how great she feels coming to all
of the activities and coming to church and the spirit she feels with
everywhere. She talked about how she doesnt feel that at her house and
she also talked about how her parents or none of her family came to
her baptism, but how she feels like she has a family within the ward.
Then the bishop got up and told her that her family is bigger now than
she could every imagine. It was a really spiritual baptism and she was
definately prepared by the Lord to recieve the gospel before we
starting teaching her. Even though i was mad at her family for not any
of them showing up to support the girl, it all turned out really well.
I am trying to send pictures of it but this computer isn´t working
really well, so we will see if they will send. Also, we found a family
that we are starting to work with. The lady has recieved lessons from
the missionaries before and her husband is an inactive member and they
have two daughters. Well we went to teach them and she is super
interested in everything that we were talking about and her husband
was a big help to us. Everyone time she had a doubt about what we were
talking about, he would explain it more simply and she would
understand. They are super cool and we are praying really hard for
them because we know what kind of the difference the gospel can make
in their lives and in their family. So yeah this week has been a great
week. Well i am glad that Bradon got to see his baby girl get born and
tell him congrats! also the yard is looking really good at tyler and
meagens (sorry if i spelt that wrong meg, i had my comp write your
name and he is a little slow HA) Also i hope the trip down to st.
george was fun and that you all have a good week this week, i love you
all
Elder Wadman
